According to health experts, an adult should do around 30 minutes of exercise five days a week. Physical fitness is not only essential for maintaining your weight; it also lowers the risk of heart problems and diabetes, decreases cholesterol and prevents osteoporosis. Also, it helps in relieving stress and anxiety.

Many people think exercising mean you need to join a gym or buy some fitness DVD – well really that’s not what exercising is all about. Your daily activities are also good enough to keep you in shape. Here are six daily activities which can be turned into everyday exercises and help you stay in shape and well-maintained.

 

Housework Is Good

Whether you love to do housework or you hate it, if I tell you that you burn some serious calories just by doing house work, I’m sure you will start loving it. Spend 40 – 50 minutes every day washing your windows, sweeping the carpet, mopping the floors and doing laundry. You will not only give your house a super cleaning, in fact, you will also give your body a good workout. So grab that broom and start sweeping.

Go For A Walk

Brisk walk is an extremely beneficial way of boosting your heart rate and staying fit. Try to walk every day for 30 minutes – brisk walk strengthens your bones, muscles and improves your stamina plus it keeps you fit. It doesn’t have to be a task to be done take your best friend with you or your special one for a walk and talk session.

Do you own a garden? When did you do some gardening the last time? Can’t remember well, I’ll tell you something mowing, weeding and gardening for 30 – 40 minutes can burn some serious calories of 200 or above. Before you start digging, make sure you give your body a little warm up session. Prepare your body for the digging of the mother earth, laying sod or planting the seeds. Another tip: If you want to give your body more exercise cut the grass by doing the lawn mowing yourself
